Meeting Topic: U.S. Green Building Council – LEED V4 updates

Jennifer TurchinLEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It is the green building rating system developed by the nonprofit U.S. Green Building Council and is continuously evolving and improving.

The next update to the rating systems (LEED v4) will open up LEED to a wider range of building types and manufacturing industries, delivering the benefits of green building up and down the supply chain. It will advance environmental footprint issues, like climate change, and encourage optimization of energy and water use.

Join in this discussion on what LEEDv4 means for you in Renewable Energy.

Our presenter, Jennifer Turchin, is a Senior Consultant with Sellen Sustainability, current president of the U.S. Green Building Council – Nevada Chapter, and a licensed architect with expertise in all phases of architectural services – from programming and schematic design to construction administration. She is passionate about the role education plays in empowering project teams to create effective and meaningful change.
