The purpose of the event is to increase public awareness about
the benefits of renewable
energy, energy and water efficiency, healthier indoor environments, alternative
transportation
and green buildings.
WHAT IS THERE TO SEE?
Meet people who are living with renewable energy systems,
greener and healthier homes, hybrid vehicles and more.
See homes that produce more electricity than they consume.
Several homes and some commercial installations are on the tour.
Informational table exhibits at the Springs Preserve will have valuable
information on the solar energy rebate program,
various products and more.

You can register in advance for the tour at
www.solarnv.org. (Don’t wait, the tour will sell out!)(
Homes are open from 10 AM to 4 PM only. Please respect homeowner’s time).Registration is $15 per car - so car pool with your friends!
Only $10 for anyone driving a hybrid
or alternative fuel vehicle. The price includes your guidebook.

This event is CARBON FREE! All CO 2 emissions for every vehicle on the tour havebeen offset by supporting solar and wind power projects elsewhere. This helps speed the transition to renewables and neutralizes the event’s greenhouse gas emissions. It is the 14th year for the National Solar Tour, coordinated by the American Solar Energy Society (www.ases.org). Attendance should exceed 120,000 people nationwide this year. Each year’s Southern Nevada Solar Home Tour has been a sell out success! |
